Taking the Bus Along the Amalfi Coast
Read, listen, or speak your way through a realistic bus journey from Positano to Amalfi and Ravello, then back toward Positano. Choose or say the reply you would actually use in Italian.
Some replies are clear, calm, and practical. Others confuse validation, direction, stops, a terminus, a connection, a delay, a departure bay, or the destination shown on the front of the bus.
When communication breaks down, repair it with phrases such as: “Mi scusi, non ho capito”, “È questa la fermata per…?”, “Quindi devo cambiare ad Amalfi?”, “Vuol dire che è in ritardo?”, “Da quale corsia parte?” and “Mi avvisa quando arriviamo?”.
