The Hotel Check-in Challenge – London Edition

Read or listen to each line in the roleplay. Choose the reply you would say in this situation.
Some answers are clear and natural. Other answers are grammatically wrong, unclear, or too rude. If the receptionist does not understand you, the roleplay becomes more difficult.
You can recover by using repair language such as: “Sorry, I mean…”, “Could you repeat that, please?” and “Could you help me?” At the end, review your result and submit it to your teacher/tutor.
- You are in London and you have just arrived at the Horizon Hotel.
- You booked a room online, but the receptionist needs to check your booking, your name, and some hotel details.
- Your goal is to check in, solve any communication problems, and get your room key.
